Enchanted Kingdom Donates Part of Membership Proceeds to Community Reforestation in Sierra Madres

18 May 2022, Enchanted Kingdom, Santa Rosa, Laguna.  On April 28th, the Enchanted Kingdom team invited FEED to partner up on their special celebration honoring Korea’s National Children’s Day to be held on May 7th, 2022 – whereby a donation drive from membership proceeds would be donated to FEED.

The event was highly interactive, wherein around 5,000 attendees came together to learn, enjoy, and be entertained with lots of shows and surprises.  Enchanted Kingdom is currently the first and only world-class theme Park in the Philippines, and their goal is to continuously provide magical “EKsperiences” to their guests and partners.

Three activities were lined up during EK’s special day:

  1. EKorean Festival:  a celebration of rich Korean culture and heritage as EK celebrates National Children’s Day in Korea in partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization. EKsperience Korea at the Park had a themed zone at the Brooklyn Zone, food, music, arts, and performances.
  2. 1st EKsperience the Magic Card Members’ Day:  intended for their growing number of members and partners, it was a whole day celebration of Fun, EKcitement, and activities in the Park, which received around 5,000 attendees.
  3. 14th HR Day:  an annual appreciation event for all HR Managers, Employee Relations, and Procurement Staff of EK’s corporate clients, an intimate gathering and appreciation for their loyalty to Enchanted Kingdom, attended by EK founders Mr. & Mrs. Mamon & Family.

EK also partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Laguna Provincial Government, Laguna Environment and Natural Resources Officer (ENRO) for the seedlings and the EKMC Kid Members.

FEED was represented by Ms. Anne-Marie Mananquil Bakker, Director of Partnerships, who attended the full day’s celebrations, including the planting of golden shower trees on the perimeter of EK’s property, carried our by 35 children and their families. It was a magical celebration indeed, and FEED thanks the very professional EK teams on the ground for conducting a safe, secure and fun event!

EK donated P18,000 to FEED, which enabled the planting of 246 trees, for which FEED added 74 to total 320 trees; part of EK’s donation was also allocated to FEED’s sustainability scholarship fund for marginalized students pursuing studies in the areas of farming, fisheries or forestry in the Philippines.

Thank you Enchanted Kingdom Family & Friends for an amazing & magical experience, thank you for your commitment to the environment and the communities who caretake our watersheds, our food supply and the whole ecosystem we rely on for our well being.

May the Forest be with you always!

About Enchanted Kingdom

Enchanted Kingdom officially opened in October 19, 1995 as a wonderland of rides, attractions and entertainment. It has been a source of magic, thrill and cheer for generations upon generations of loyal guests for over 26 years.

The theme park boasts of rides and attractions unique to the country in size and magnitude. These rides and attractions are located within seven meticulously themed zones interspersed with food and merchandise outlets and kiosks as well as various game stands that add to the “enchanting experience”, away from the day-to-day realities of life.

Enchanted Kingdom is also a choice venue for (1) personal milestones, such as birthdays, weddings, and debuts; (2) corporate events, namely, conferences, company anniversaries, awarding ceremonies, product launches, and EK Magicalympics team building; and (3) school events, such as commencement exercises, Junior-Senior prom, and sports events.
Enchanted Kingdom can cater to in-park group reservations from 10,000 to 25,000 guests in various themed environments in the Park’s seven zones or in its enchanting events venues: Eldar’s Theater (600-seater), Boardwalk Party Place (300-seater), and Enchanting Events Place (2,000-seater).

Enchanted Kingdom boasts of “themed entertainment” in each zone. It also has a variety of musical shows throughout the season using in-house and TV network partner talents. Entertainment and special events are usually held at any of the aforementioned venues.

Currently, Enchanted Kingdom is exploring ways to expand into other ventures like Edutainment. Through the spirit of participation in education-related undertakings, the theme park can greatly help in the future of the country’s educational backbone.
