30 April 2017, Siniloan, Laguna. 200 Philippine mala-santol trees were planted today in Siniloan, Laguna at the Laguna Quezon Land Grant site managed by FEED’s Living Legacy partner the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB).
100 of these indigenous Philippine trees were planted on behalf of FEED Patrons of the Environment, Aspen Philippines Incorporated – endorsed by its President & CEO Marcelina ‘Ace’ Itchon – honoring Mercury Drug Corporation Founder, the late Dr Mariano Lim Que (RIP).
The remaining 100 mala-santol were planted for the late Tito Tesoro (RIP), a great friend and advisor of FEED (late husband of FEED Patron Patis Tesoro); the late Gov Jose Antonio N. Carrion (RIP) of Marinduque (thanks to his loving sister Bing); FEED merchandise partners Mondo Project c/o Rej and Bogs Balangat, the co-founders and FEED Ambassadors; and birthday boy Jo Vincent T. Gonzaga celebrating his 50th.
