The blessing of rains arrive the day prior, cleared up on the day of planting, and returned once the planting of 100 Philippine indigenous trees was completed. The land had already been prepared by the local forest guards, and FEED ‘s Students and Volunteers for the Environment  (SAVE) helped plant for Armada, where it was obvious that everyone enjoyed getting their hands dirty while planting and giving back to the Earth’s bounty.

The unique fact about the program is that Armada Hotel became a FEED CSR Patron through a one year membership by incorporating and acting on thier Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) targets.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2015- 01 address to ALL BOI CLIENTS AND ALL OTHERS CONCERNED SUBJECT : GENERAL POLICIES AND SPECIFIC GUIDELINES TO IMPLEMENT THE INVESTMENT PRIORITIES PLAN (IPP) once provided guidance on CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR): BOI registered entities, recognizing the benefits derived from the fiscal incentives granted by the government, should endeavour to undertake meaningful and sustainable CSR projects in the locality where the projects are implemented.””

CSR is not about dole out or charity or hand out to the society.  It is what corporations do to solve social problems that help create a sustainable society that in turn increases business and profits…..Tackling climate change will take innovation, investment and the commitment of governments, companies and civil society to change the way we work together.  Climate investment is simply smart investment to keep our planet safe for future generations. That is the corporate social responsibility we are talking about.”
