FEED Scholar in Focus: Jahan de Guzman Becomes Doctor of Medicine

JBDG.jpg20 December 2016, Tarlac, Philippines. Congratulations to FEED scholar, now Doctor of Medicine, Jahan de Guzman, helping others heal. From 2002 – 2006, Jahan attended the Central Luzon Doctor’s Hospital  in San Vicente, Tarlac, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and prior obtained his Physician Licensure Board Passer in February 2015.

We enclose his letter with great admiration for his hard work and perseverance, and we hope it inspires others their own true pursuits.

A Message of Gratitude from Dr. Jahan de Guzman

I am Dr. Jahan De Guzman of Tarlac City. I finished my Doctor of Medicine at Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela City.

After finishing my internship at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital, I am required to take review classes in preparation for taking the Medical Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission. It is at this point that I decided to apply for a scholarship grant from FEED (Fostering Education and Environment for Development) through Mr. Jacob Bakker and Mrs. Ophelia Mananquil-Bakker, which they later informed me was approved by the Board, luckily for me.

Being a scholar of FEED is a gratifying experience. Allowances come on time and sometimes in advance. There were no hassles or delays at all. The owners are kind, approachable and generous. These maybe the reasons why FEED is continuously growing and helping deserving students for education and environmental development.

My Million thanks to Mr. Jacob Bakker, Mrs. Ophelia Mananquil-Bakker and to the other officers and members of FEED!

Wishing FEED more power, more success and continued growth!

Respectfully Yours,

Jahan de Guzman

Doctor of Medicine
