Fitness in the Forest – Team Building and Healing in Nature. Experience your own eco-adventure!
FEED’s Forest Fitness program was launched in January 2018, in response to requests from mountaineers and others who are seeking a more intensive workout, alternative team building dynamics and a test of one’s abilities.

In contrast to the beginner/intermediary level Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Students and Volunteers for the Environment (SAVE) or other tree plantings, Forest Fitness involves a more intensive – and if requested, expert / lengthier and more challenging – trek, trail, obstacle course and fitness regime built into the overall tree-planting experience.
Starting with the welcome by FEED and our longest serving Living Legacy site partner the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), an early morning stretch and cardio program with music, zumba or yoga are adopted prior to the planting, following by a minimum 45 minute trek of around 2 km one way – through the forest to the tree-planting site.
This program is offered for the more experienced or advanced mountain or forest trekkers, such as those for professional trekkers or mountaineering associations. It also enables FEED and UPLB to plant at barren sites located further away from the base camp, in areas not accessible by most.
Modules from FEED’s other Living Legacy interventions, such as SEEDS 4 FEED Nursery Establishment, can also be incorporated into your program.
