General Criteria for the Selection of Scholars
Awardees are selected based on the following:
- Performance in the National Scholarship Exam administered by DOST-Science Education Institute;
- Result of the interview questionnaire conducted by the Regional OWWA Unit (ROU) Supervisors; and
- Applicants with their parents or authorized guardian will be interviewed tested by the Chairman and at least one board member of FEED prior to presentation of the candidate to the Scholarship Fund Committee.
Expected Date of Announcement of Selected Scholars
Review of applications on an ongoing basis throughout the year, disbursed prior to the commencement of the academic year in the Philippines.
Scholarship Privileges
FEED scholarships are for the direct benefit of the approved candidate and can be applied to:
- Tuition fee
- Research & extension feed
- Short Courses
- Monthly stipend
- Book Allowance
- Other School Fees
The allotment of fees are flexible depending on the course, level of study and the circumstances of student applicant. This is why a thorough interview on the student, with parent or guardian will be conducted.
Thereafter, consultations with the school where the student will enroll will be done by FEED to determine the student’s qualifications and requirements . All fees will be directly paid to the school and allowances in the case of the public high school student be accounted for properly and justly allotted depending on the requirements of the student.
Please be aware FEED reserves the right to consult with the school principals and authorities to find out the needs and performance development of the student, therefore fees may vary and will be at the discretion of the Chairman and the FEED Board after consultations with the academic/research/learning organization is completed.
