FEED sponsors research and other knowledge extension programs as a major part of its capacity building efforts to develop practical interventions that have sustainable impacts on particularly marginalised communities. In an organic and mutually exploratory exercise, and as the main part of the FEED Scholarship Program.
To date, FEED’s partners in research and extension programs include:
- Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University (DMMMSU)
- Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), Armed Forces of the Philippines
- Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU)
- Tinnulong Foundation, Inc.
- University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)
- Water Footprint Network
Each research / extension scholar is assessed on the basis of their individual merits, also taking into account the shifting priorities and areas of concern in the Philippines, when it comes to biodiversity and environmental protection and conservation, climate change, mitigation and prevention, forestry and fisheries management, inclusive social enterprise, sustainable development and related topics of concern in particularly remote and disaster prone areas in the Philippines.
