3 December 2016, Siniloan, Laguna. 37 staff from Jetti Foundation and International planted 400 indigenous Philippine hardwoods at the Laguna Quezon Land Grant in Siniloan, Laguna on 3 December 2016 as part of their ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to give back to the community and the environment in the Philippines:

  • Malaruhat/Mulawin – heavy Philippine wood;
  • Bagtikan/”white lauan” – light red Philippine Mahogany;
  • Banilad – Sterculia commas, fibres used for rope;
  • Bolong-eta, endangered hardwood;

Dominique Lopez of Jetti Foundation & International delivered the inspirational message to Jetti planters prior to the trek to the site, mentioning the significance of the company and its Corporate Social Responsibilities – “giving back to the community and environment through outreach programs and sponsorships to different institutions, including public schools, homes for the aged, and orphanages to name a few, as well as donations to affected areas and families during times of calamities”.

Thank you to all Jetti participants for helping us restore part of the 70% lost forest cover in the Philippines!
