Making Communities Greener through ONE CHILD, ONE TREE

MAKING SCHOOLS & COMMUNITIES GREENER through ONE CHILD, ONE TREE

Partnership between schools, the local government, local government agencies, different non-governmental organisations, private corporations, volunteers, and FEED as part of an ongoing environmental support effort benefitting and empowering local community residents. Starting in 2017 with the planting of fruit, vegetable and wood-bearing native Philippine trees in 30 primary schools in Hagonoy, Bulacan.

Led by its founder Natalia Sali (FEED Ambassador), teachers, volunteers, and community residents will be trained and provided the technical expertise to be equipped on Bio-Intensive Gardening (BIG), with technical input from IIRR. In collaboration with Bulacan Environment & Natural Resources Office, Bulacan State University, Hagonoy Sanguniang Bayan, Hangonoy Barangay Councils, Municipal Environment & Natural Resources Office, Municipal Planning & Development Office, and UP Mountaineers.
