FEED INC. ANNOUNCES INSTALLATION OF JOSE RIZAL AT TARLAC HIGH SCHOOL, THE PHILIPPINES

Thanks to the encouraging efforts of the Tarlac High School Alumni Association, headed by Mrs. Ofelia Bakker-Mananquil (an alumnus of THS, also Chairman of FEED Inc), the THS Alumni Association announced the installation of the Philippines’ national hero and icon Dr. Jose Rizal at the Tarlac City premises.

In her welcome message to the Alumni, Mrs. Bakker explained how “it took a while before we could finalize the now sure installation of the Rizal bust as a donation to THS. The resin bust was designed and sculpted by the brilliant Philippine-US Scholar, Sir Tony Imao. And so here it is now being set-up as an inspiration to all THS students, teachers and alumni  thanks to THS Administrator Engr Rolando Carreon, Class 1978 who has worked at THS for more than 20 years.   It will be installed at the Ground Floor Lobby of  the original main THS building named ‘Diwa Ng Tarlac’. ”

Thanks to all THS faculty, family and friends for making this possible. May we always remember to inspire education & environmental preservation in all our endeavours.
